How Zupo Works
This page explains our role as a finance broker, how we work with our funding partner, and how we are paid. It is general information to help you understand what to expect when you deal with Zupo Pty Ltd (ABN 64 697 282 554).
Our role
Zupo acts as a finance broker and intermediary. We help Australian small businesses prepare and present a funding enquiry, and we connect you with our funding partner. We do not lend money ourselves, and we do not make credit decisions.
Business funding only
Zupo arranges funding for genuine business purposes only. We do not arrange consumer credit, and the funding we arrange is not regulated by the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth). For this reason, Zupo is not required to hold an Australian Credit Licence.
The funding partner
Funding is provided by our funding partner. They assess your application and decide whether to offer funding, and on what amount, rate and terms. Those decisions are theirs, not ours, and are subject to their own criteria, fees and conditions. The funding partner operates its own privacy policy and its own complaints and dispute resolution processes, which apply to any funding product you take out.
How we are paid
Zupo may receive a commission or fee from the funding partner when an enquiry we introduce is funded. Our commission is paid to us by the funding partner, not charged to you directly by Zupo. If you would like to understand how we are paid in relation to your funding, ask us and we will explain it before you accept any offer.
Not financial or credit advice
Information and tools on this site are general in nature and do not take your objectives, financial situation or needs into account. They are not financial, credit, legal or tax advice. Consider whether any funding is right for your business, and seek independent advice if needed.
Complaints
If something isn't right, we want to hear about it. Contact us using the details below. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If your complaint relates to the funding product itself, including its rates, fees or terms, we will help you raise it with the funding partner through their dispute resolution process.
